While the start of spring may be very different this year, the basis of this time of year has not changed: hope, joy and renewal. Though Covid-19 has had an enormous impact on all aspects of life, the season of spring could not have come at a better time.
We listened to some of our patients express their fears and apprehension for this period. So, based on our principles of holistic care, we want to encourage you all with these:
⁃Uncontrolled fear can constantly torment people with ruminating thoughts.
⁃Fear has the ability to control you and open other negative doors for your mental health.
⁃‘FEAR’ is an acronym for ‘false evidence appearing real’.
Please understand that there is a healthy fear. It is this fear that keeps us away from dangers e.g. playing with fire. This post is not about the healthy fear.
It is about the fear that takes more from us than it ever gives, and it is this fear we say we should not allow into our lives.
TO OVERCOME FEAR
⁃ Pay attention to the source of your fear and get it out of your way.
⁃ Be aware of what gains your attention by what you watch and listen to: your eyes and ears are gateways to your soul.
⁃ Practice gratitude daily, not everyone is in the same situation as you, nor are they as fortunate as you are.
I want to take a moment to express our sincerest thanks to you all – our patients (both present and soon to be) who continue to call for help from us. We are honoured you choose us for your dental needs. We look forward to when we would be able to see you soon to make your experience with us the best it can be.
If there are any issues you would like us to discuss, do feel free to get in touch through your comments (below). Let’s make this as interactive as it can be!
Take care of yourself and keep safe.
